Week 15 - Video Blog Review

1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.

Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T. J. Clark - I learned that those people who did very well at what they were trying to accomplish things, were those that were hated by others. Good art can come from anywhere, and if people hated an artist then he created an emotion, and therefore succeeded.

The Critics: Stories from the Inside Pages - I like this video because it was about how people need to get the attention and get their opinions on things from different ways and aspects. In their car, in their home, outside a coffee shop, etc.

2. Do the videos relate to the creation of your Art Criticism project? If yes, explain how. If no, explain why not.

Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T. J. Clark - I do believe this video relates to the project because it gave me a view of a way to look at these critiques, and helped me see that I could have ANY view and it would be a view, no matter what it was.

The Critics: Stories from the Inside Pages - Yes it does because in the project we need to stop and sit there and think about everything and this video really emphasized the importance of that.

3. What is your opinion of the films? Do they add depth to understanding of art criticism?

Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T. J. Clark - I think this guy had a very interesting take on art, he had his opinions and knew that his thoughts were criticized even themselves, but he knew that it didn't matter what people thought, because views and opinions is what it's all about.

The Critics: Stories from the Inside Pages - I enjoyed it, there were so many different perspectives in this long video and I really enjoyed watching it.
